What's a lovely item? Basically, a lovely item is a special accessory capable of making the toughest looking guy look like a big huggable teddy bear.

In episode 22, a student called Kasanoda Ritsu who is part of a Yakuza family, asks Mori and the Host Club's help to get rid of his scary look, since he can't even play kick the can with his loyal followers and in school people say that he can freeze a person just by looking at them. He asks Mori howcome he is loved by everyone despite the fact that he also has a scary face, is unsociable, emotionless, untalkative, etc. (all this makes Mori angsty) Tamaki explains that despite the fact that he and Mori have the same scary looking face, Mori posseses a "lovely item" that is basically the whole reason for his charm: Mitsukuni!! In other words, without Honey's existance, Mori wouldn't posses his charm. Tamaki says that once they put Honey on Mori's shoulders, he becomes big teddy bear Mori. Having Honey at his side, makes people think he is sweet, gentle, and even covers up for his lack of talking.

This whole conversation makes the other members think that Mori really doesn't do anything, and Mori's face just freezes up. But thats not all, suddenly Honey tearfully ask Mori "Takashi, is it true you have only been using me?", which makes Mori jump of his chair and say no!!!! Tamaki mentions to Kasanoda that unfortunetly, Honey is being rented to Mori for a long term so they can't lend him to him. This makes Honey ask Mori, "is it true I am only being rented to you?", which makes Mori's jaw drop and starts saying no no!! while moving his whole body from one side to the other lol. So as you can see, another of Honey's skills is being Mori's lovely item!! ^^

In manga chapter 34, volume 8, Tamaki refers to Mitsukuni as an adorable accesory; And here's his description: "Honey is powered by 10 cakes a day! And if you order now you get him with 100 flowers attached for free!" Basically the same thing happens after this, Tamaki explains that Mori may look like a cold lifeless figure, but once with Honey attached his attitude and looks are interpreted in a positive light. (Mori is not dressed as a bear or Honey as a bunny in the manga) Honey asks Mori tearfully if he has been using him, Mori shakes his head all freaked, and yeah all the other hosts think that Mori really doesn't need to do anything. XD Tamaki then mentions that Honey is currently under a long term contract with Mori and Honey asks him is he is renting him, and Mori freaks out again. Too bad, the 100 flower offer seemed so good. . .
